Brand search and Performance Max campaigns post spectacular ROAS because they catch customers at the last click, not because they created the demand. TrueROAS shows the full journey so you can stop over-funding the last click.
Tracks every major ad platform. Sends verified orders back to Meta and Google.

Why it happens
Last-click by default
Someone sees a Meta ad, searches your brand name the next day and clicks the ad above your organic result. Google records the sale. Meta created it.
Performance Max cannibalisation
PMax is allowed to serve on brand terms and Shopping for existing customers. It picks up the cheapest conversions in the account and reports them as its own.
Returning customers
Repeat buyers often navigate through a brand search. Google counts every one as a paid conversion.
What it costs you
Budget shifts toward brand search and PMax because they 'work', prospecting on Meta and non-brand search gets cut, and six months later brand search volume itself declines because nobody is creating new demand.
How TrueROAS fixes it
See the whole journey, not the last click
TrueROAS shows the first touch, the last touch and everything between for every order, so you can see that Meta started the journey and Google finished it.
New vs returning by campaign
Brand and PMax campaigns are shown with their share of first-time buyers. Anything below a threshold you set is flagged.
A model built on your data, not defaults
Instead of last click, TrueROAS uses tracked journeys, survey answers and modeling to split credit the way your customers actually behave.
Tracking alone drops sales to iOS, ad blockers and dead cookies. Three signals catch every one.

“Which ad should I scale?”
"Very good app. I almost turned off an ad set that had a 4.5 ROAS because Meta tracked not all of the sales and had a Meta 1.5 ROAS."

When you do not need this
If you run almost no prospecting outside Google, brand search is mostly capturing organic and word-of-mouth demand, which is a different problem (and a good one to have). This page is for stores running Meta or TikTok alongside Google.
Questions media buyers ask
Should I stop bidding on my brand name?
Usually not entirely. Competitors will bid on it instead. The point is to measure it honestly so you can set a sane budget cap rather than let it eat your prospecting spend. Some stores run a holdout test; TrueROAS gives you the baseline to judge it.
How do I stop PMax from taking brand traffic?
Use brand exclusions in the PMax campaign settings and a separate brand search campaign with a fixed budget. Then compare new-customer revenue before and after in TrueROAS.
