Your ad platforms grade their own homework. TrueROAS checks it against your orders.

TrueROAS is a Shopify and WooCommerce attribution tool. It records every click and order server-side, matches conversions to real orders, cross-checks with surveys and modeling, and sends verified purchases back to Meta and Google. Here is the plain-language version.

What happens after you install

1. Install the Shopify app

Connect your store and ad accounts. TrueROAS starts recording clicks and orders on your own domain, server-side, so Safari limits and ad blockers do not delete the trail. Backfills recent orders so the dashboard is not empty on day one.

2. Every conversion is matched to a real order

A conversion only exists if there is a Shopify order behind it. Ad-platform purchases that have no order are simply not counted. Orders that Meta, Google and Klaviyo all claim are credited once, using the actual journey.

3. Surveys and modeling fill the gaps

A one-question post-purchase survey catches what tracking cannot (the ad someone saw but never clicked). A model trained on your store's own data cross-checks the tracked journeys, the survey answers and your spend patterns.

4. Verified orders are sent back to Meta and Google

De-duplicated, order-verified purchases go to Meta's Conversions API and Google's enhanced conversions with full match keys. Their algorithms optimise on real buyers instead of their own estimates.

Two parts. Start with the first.

Most stores get everything they need from Tracking & Activation. Advanced Measurement is for larger budgets and multi-channel questions.

What the AI actually does

Three specific jobs. Nothing else gets the label.

JobHow it worksWhat it does not do
Builds your store's attribution modelLearns from tracked journeys, survey answers and spend patterns which touchpoints actually lead to orders in your store. Replaces one-size-fits-all last click.Does not invent conversions. If there is no order, the model has nothing to attribute.
Writes the weekly summaryTurns the week's data into a short plain-language report: what moved, what to check, what to test.Does not change your campaigns. You stay in control of spend.
Answers questions about your data (chat)Ask 'which creatives brought first-time buyers last month' and get a table, not a dashboard hunt. Also available inside Claude and other tools through MCP.Does not see other stores' data. Your data is only used for your model.

Others track. We triangulate.

Tracking alone drops sales to iOS, ad blockers and dead cookies. Three signals catch every one.

"Meta said 1.5 ROAS. TrueROAS showed 4.5. I almost turned off a winner."

"Very good app. I almost turned off an ad set that had a 4.5 ROAS because Meta tracked not all of the sales and had a Meta 1.5 ROAS."

Rasmus Arvidsson, Founder of TrueROAS

Why I Built TrueROAS

I was data-driven without truthful data, and it was a prison for growth.

"I ran my own stores and Meta's numbers never matched Shopify's. As a data scientist, I couldn't accept making budget decisions on data I knew was wrong. So I wrote the TrueROAS algorithm myself, from a basement in Stockholm. It is still the core of the product today. The goal is simple: give every store the attribution accuracy of a data team, at a price that pays for itself many times over."

Common first questions

No. Keep them. TrueROAS runs alongside and de-duplicates by order ID, so nothing is counted twice. It adds the server-side record and the verified sendback that the tags cannot do on their own.

For Shopify, no. It is a one-click app install and the ad accounts connect with OAuth. WooCommerce uses a plugin. Custom stores use the integration docs, and we do those with you.

Day one: recent orders backfilled and each channel's claimed revenue next to its verified revenue. Within a week: the first journeys with more than one touch, and the survey answers coming in. By day 14: enough data to compare Ads Manager ROAS with verified ROAS per campaign, which is usually the moment people decide.

Tracking is first-party on your own domain and respects Shopify's consent settings. Data is processed for your store only. See the GDPR and tracking page and the privacy policy linked under every signup button.
