What changes in week one, and why your numbers look different.
The most useful thing a customer ever did was refuse to uninstall Hyros for two months and run us side by side, then post the comparison as a Shopify review. Same orders, same tracking, a fraction of the price. I recommend the same test to everyone, including people I think will pick the other tool.
The one-sentence version
Install TrueROAS next to whatever you use, run both for 14 days, and keep the one whose numbers add up to Shopify. Nothing in your ad accounts changes during the test.
The setup
Try it: pick your current setup
Your first two weeks
Install the Shopify app, connect Meta and Google
One click each. Nothing changes in your ad accounts. Recent orders backfill so the dashboard is not empty.
The numbers look lower
Verified ROAS strips duplicates, view-only claims and modeled purchases. Retargeting and brand campaigns drop most. This is the point.
Match quality climbs
Verified events with hashed email, click ID and order ID reach Meta's Conversions API. Events Manager shows the score rising.
First honest ranking
Enough verified orders to sort campaigns. Survey answers start filling the view-only gaps.
Decide
Ads Manager vs verified, side by side, per campaign. Move 20% of budget. Keep Ads Manager open for creative; stop asking it how much you sold.
Your ads do not change. It is the receipts that change.
Why the numbers look different
Duplicates (the same order claimed by two campaigns), view-only claims (saw the ad, never clicked, bought anyway), and modeled purchases (Meta's estimate of what it could not see). Verified ROAS is lower on harvesting campaigns and higher on prospecting. Blended MER does not move at all, because you sold the same amount.
Northbeam's own switching guide says the same thing in more words: your performance will look different. Ours adds: it will also add up.
What you keep
Pixels stay. GA4 stays. Klaviyo stays. UTMs stay. The old attribution tool can stay for the whole trial. The only thing that changes is which table you use to decide budgets.
Honest footnote
If you need warehouse-level BI or offline-channel MMM today, and you have someone to run it, that tool may be the right one and TrueROAS the wrong one. Run the 14 days anyway; the reconciliation check costs nothing and settles the argument either way.
Questions people actually ask
Will installing next to my current tool double-count in Meta?
Not if both send an order ID as the event ID. TrueROAS always does. Check your current tool's events in Meta Events Manager; duplicates show as a warning there.
Do I need to change UTMs?
No. TrueROAS reads the UTMs and click IDs you already have. It adds a server-side record; it does not require new naming.
What if my verified ROAS is much lower than my old tool's?
Then your old tool was counting things that were not orders. Compare both tools' totals with Shopify; the one that matches is the one telling the truth.
Can I get help with the switch?
Yes. A free setup call is included, and the integration docs cover custom stores. Most Shopify stores are live in under 3 minutes without a call.
See your own numbers, verified against your orders.
Free under $10k/month in revenue. 14-day trial above that. Nothing changes in your ad accounts. You will know within a week which platform has been telling stories.

"I built this because I was making $50k-a-month decisions on numbers I knew were wrong. If TrueROAS does not show you something Meta or Google got wrong in the first two weeks, tell me and I will help you cancel."
